You're invited to the Third Annual Influencer Event! This invite only phenomenon brings together photographers, influencers, writers, artists, and entrepreneurs pushing the photography & education industry forward. Together we will spend 6 days in Puerto Rico networking, exploring, singing, podcasting, drinking, and enjoying each other's company. If you've ever been to one of our events then you know it's going to be a great time!
Over the 6 days we will be working to create a joint body of work that tells the story of those affected by Hurricane Maria. In small groups, and individually, I am asking those who come to bring a camera and help tell the story of those still affected and what they went through. We are challenging (not requiring) the photographers that come down to find one story and create at least 1 portrait over 6 days of someone or a group of people affected by the hurricane in an attempt to raise awareness of those that continue to be affected by the hurricane. Afterwards we are hoping to submit this body of work for publication both online and in-print. We will have several BTS teams there to document your photo shoots and the adventure in whole.
This year, we decided to host the Third Annual Influencer Event in Puerto Rico at a magical artists' 23,000-square-foot authentic colonial mansion : The Gallery Inn. The Gallery Inn is owned and operated by Artist Jan D'Esopo. Jan is an amazing host than can be seen feeding her parrots, hanging out and talking about art with guests. The entire hotel is full of Jan's artwork, sculptures, paintings, and her talking parrots. Every room, garden, archway, corridor and facade carries the artist's signature upon centuries of authenticity, history and culture. The Gallery Inn is a maze of wonderment in the heart of the vibrant Old San Juan City, a 300 year old vestige of architectural style imbibed with a unique artistic ambience and decor.

Each guest will have the opportunity to book their own room in the most awe-inspiring hotel Old San Juan has to offer. We have reserved the entire hotel for our event to create a sense of intimacy and comfort for the group. We have negotiated a discounted rate to provide a great experience for all guests.
To book your room, simply call the Gallery Inn, let them know you will be attending the RGG EDU Influencer Event , and put a small 1 night deposit down for the room before May 15th. The balance can be paid in full after your stay. Many rooms have more than 1 bed and can host 2-4 people, so bring your spouse or partner or hit up another guest for a roommate. Please leave your kids at home.
We understand you may have potential photography jobs that could conflict the event. If you cannot fully commit to coming now, you can put down a very small refundable deposit on your room to hold your spot until 1 month before. Please only book one room under your reservation or contact Gary if you have a request for multiple rooms.
Book your flight to arrive in San Juan (SJU) anytime on July 3rd 2018 and book your return flight for Sunday July 8th. Hop in an Uber or Taxi to the Gallery Inn and check into your private one of a kind artists' room/suite and get ready for our welcome party at 8PM.
On the days we travel outside of Old San Juan on a group trip, we will organize transportation and drivers for everyone. It is not recommended to rent a car because of the parking restrictions in Old San Juan. Uber is super available and cheap!
Nightly dinners will be organized at the Gallery Inn as a group. There are also a TON of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in and around the city. A detailed list of events and food options will be provided closer to the event. We are still planning the actual logistics but the food is VERY cheap and delicious.
We have a 5-day loose schedule of beach activities, hikes, pool parties, and podcasts sprinkled throughout with a lot of time for photography. Many of these activities will be broadcasted over our private Facebook group once you book your room. You will all get laminated itineraries upon arrival and several weeks before arrival.
30+ talented people in the photo industry. Many of which you probably know or have heard of, met at one of our parties, or saw on the Interwebs. The first event was held in a private compound in Isabela, Puerto Rico. We spent 4 days exploring the beaches, surf towns, and rainforests with a great group of artists, photographers, and retouchers. It was an amazing experience that we will all remember for a lifetime.
