The Crash Shoot 2 of 4
In the second shoot of our tutorial with Erik Almås, we crash a class car into the water with a beautiful model. Sounds expensive and dangerous, right? Well not really, actually. Through the power of Photoshop and a solid understanding of composition & composite work, Erik demonstrates his strong ability to problem solve and create stunning imagery in the tutorial. This will be an essential for portrait & landscape photographers!
In every tutorial we make, we strive to extract everything we can possibly get out of our instructors to tell the best story possible. Furthermore we spend a LOT of time planning these tutorials with a team of people dedicated to telling the best story possible. Here at RGG EDU we have 5 video editors that work on 1 project, sometimes more. This gives us a great gauge on what's relevant, what's too redundant, and what will be just the right amount of information to give in a final tutorial.
The RGG EDU Team
For this tutorial we spared no expense and brought in 2 extra hands just to capture our behind the scenes. In addition to our 5 person team of shooters, producers, & directors, we had Mike Wilkinson and Jaron Schneider run our BTS video, time lapses, and quad copter 4k shots on the DJI Inspire. So in reality we have a second video production team filming a story of us filming a story on Erik. VIDEO INCEPTION! Here is what they came up with in their BTS documentary on us:

To answer your question, yes we do having matching uniforms from head to toe for every shoot we do. Inspired by Wes Anderson, and because we wanted to have glowy shoes at night, I showed up on day with matching custom uniforms for the entire team. From Orange Nike Air Max's to authentic Team Zissou hats, we had it all. We even had custom north face fleeces made with our logos. Excessive? Probably! Fun? Hell yes. We convinced about 100 or so people in San Francisco that we were a traveling foosball team here playing a friendly against Denmark. People are so gullible!
