Well it's that time again and we are so impressed with this new documentary on Peter Coulson. We say documentary because our projects are more than a traditional "tutorial" that you are accustomed to finding on the internet or YouTube. We plan our projects like live-action films and set them in a documentary setting for each instructor. Our goal in every tutorial is to have the organization and pre-production like any film, but the results of a first-person experience as if you were the first assistant on every shoot. I'm happy to say we've achieved that yet again with this next project and Peter knocked the teaching aspect out of the park!
This tutorial focuses on using your gear correctly, posing your models, finding the right light, and executing flawless post-production. With over 18 hours of content and 57 videos, this is more than a tutorial and slightly less than a personal mentorship with Peter Coulson. We've included prerequisite videos for both photography and Photoshop for people less experienced with either, and have built a curriculum around 10 photo shoots using available outdoor light and simple studio lighting with 1-2 lights. We focus mainly on using 1 light with various modifiers and myriad ways to use each one.
If you are a portrait photographer looking to understand lighting and post-processing for black & white photography, this is the best course in the world currently online. Nowhere else will you find a resource like this that can save you months, if not years, of frustrating trial & error, guesswork, and cussing. You may think that this braggadocios to say, but seriously no one else puts this much effort into one photography tutorial. NO ONE.
